JC JoyAge New Phase Launch Ceremony cum Exhibition
23 May 2025
Initiated and funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the JC JoyAge project was launched in 2016 with the aim of developing a viable and cross-sectoral service model with holistic support for vulnerable and depressed older adults, in collaboration with The University of Hong Kong and 18 non-governmental organisations. JC JoyAge has since been piloting a stepped-care model to tackle elderly depression at District Elderly Community Centres and Integrated Community Centres for Mental Wellness across Hong Kong. In light of its successful impact over the first two phases and of changing mental health needs, the Trust approved an extension and repurposing of JC JoyAge for three-and-a-half years from 2024 to 2027. In this new phase, JC JoyAge is partnering with three designated District Health Centres / District Health Centre Express to strengthen social-medical collaboration in the community and pilot mental health support at the primary care level for a wider group of people aged 45 or above.
The official launch of the new phase of the JC JoyAge project will be held on 27 May 2025. There will be an opening ceremony, a thematic sharing session and an exhibition to showcase experiences and learning from the Project in the past two phases.
You are cordially invited to the launch ceremony. Details of the event are listed below.
